The Quest Alliance provides both standard and tailored In House training as well as On Line training. The offerings for In House training are much more exhaustive than are the On Line training courses. Both however, are based on a technically sound integration of subject matter principles and content, and both incorporate "real world" applications into the course material. At the Quest Alliance, we also develop customized training for clients depending on their unique training needs.

Training is important to an organization because it brings new capabilities to personnel already in the organization. Training, coupled with consulting assistance helps an organization to immediately apply the newly acquired tools, techniques, and methodologies to their existing business conditions. Although it is true that hiring people from the outside with the needed skills and capabilities is a fast way to bring the skills into the organization. However, there is still a lag time for the "outsider" to become effective. This is because they have to become familiar with the business, it's process and products, and the culture of the organization. In some cases this lag time is remarkably long. It is also true that "outsiders" do bring a fresh look at things and in many cases this proves to be a great asset. However, by training existing personnel (technicians, engineers, specialists, and even managers), the time interval for realizing benefits is usually shorter than when hiring from the outside. Furthermore, when an organization trains internal personnel, the skills are more wide-spread within the organization which can have a positive impact on the culture of the organization as well. Finally, it is usually easier to justify training existing personnel than it is to justify adding head count.

Therefore, training is a crucial activity for an organization to undertake. On the In House Training page, we provide a full listing of the training courses provided by The Quest Alliance. We also provide advanced training in the Design of Experiments in an On Line format (described on the On Line Training page). You are encouraged to examine the information on each of these pages.
